Vietnam issued regulations to stop visa exemption for citizens of 8 European countries

Vietnam has announced the immediate suspension of visa exemption for citizens of 8 European countries. This includes visitors from France, Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom, Italy, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Belgium.

The new measures are designed to help limit the spread of the coronavirus. Vietnam is not the only country which employs this new regulation. It follows a similar move by Thailand, which recently stopped visa-free entry for citizens of 21 countries.

The suspension of visa exemption will affect those traveling to Vietnam for both tourism and business purposes. Travelers will now have to apply for a visa and make a mandatory health declaration before entering Vietnam. In case foreigners show any symptoms and are at risk of being infected with the Coronavirus, they will be refused entry to Vietnam.

The visa exemption suspension is a necessary step for Vietnam to protect its citizens and visitors. It is hoped that the new measures will help contain the spread of the virus and ensure the health and safety of everyone in the country.
