Can I use eSIM to make phone calls and send text messages?

This depends on the type of eSIM you use. There are 2 popular types of eSIM:

• Regular ESIM: has the same functions as a regular physical SIM, so you can use eSIM to make phone calls, send text messages, and access high-speed data packages.
• Data ESIM: only supports data packages and receiving incoming calls and messages, does not support sending messages and outgoing calls. You can make phone calls and send text messages on social networking applications such as Zalo, WhatsApp, WeChat,... using data packages that are provided when you buy the eSIM.
