Last update: Saturday August 02, 2025

In the last blog, we explored Vietnam Visa On Arrival (VOA) Instructions: A Complete Guide, which requires some paperworks upon landing, that’s why it’s also known as “Vietnam Landing visa”. To have a closer look on how it works and save time by preparing those documents before arrival, let Vietnam-immi.org guide you through!

What is Form NA1? Where to Download?

One NECESSARY document you must present to the immigration officer upon entering Vietnam is the Entry and Exit form (NA1). When you arrive at an airport in Vietnam or to save time when you arrive at the airport, you can also download the form and fill it out beforehand.

*Form NA1 is the official application form used to request a visa for foreigners entering Vietnam (as stipulated in Circular No. 04/2015/TT-BCA dated January 5, 2015, issued by the Ministry of Public Security).

You can download the NA1 Form from the link below:

Note 1: Enclose 2 recently taken photos in 4x6 cm size, with white background, front view, bare head, without sunglasses (one on the form and the other separate).

Note 2: Specify type of passport whether it is Ordinary, Official or Diplomatic or specify name of the International Travel Document.

Note 3: The information provided in the application form must be accurate and must not include any false or misleading details.

Note 4: Chinese passport holders must still complete paperwork at the Landing Visa counter, even with an eVisa. They’ll receive a separate pink visa paper. Just bring the filled form NA1 and 2 photos—no need to pay the Government fee again.

The separate visa for Chinese (make sure to store it carefully for exit procedures)

How simple isn’t it? There might be some requirements at the airport, if you are not sure about anything, please do not hesitate to contact us!
