Vietnam Airlines Brought Tet Flavors To Its Lunar Year 2024’s First Flights

When every corner in Vietnam still lingers with a distinct tapestry of the Lunar New Year delights, from dazzling symbolic flower roads to spring festivals adorned with cultural elements; it’s not easy to bid a farewell to our beloved family. As the national flag carrier, Vietnam Airlines takes off to the high sky, promising every facet of Tet will permeate the whole flying process during the beginning of the Dragon Year.

On the first day of the Lunar calendar, passengers in flights VN628, VN157, and VN1340, operated by Vietnam Airlines come by a “surprise mini show”, which offers bouquets of colorful flowers to each traveler and a live music performance gracing the richness of Vietnamese culture. On the other hand, the Tet atmosphere is no less captivating and vivid on other flights, as stewardesses showcase the immersive allure of ao dai with “Sac Sen'' and “Dang hoa nien phu” theme instead of their usual uniforms while serving first customers dozens of iconic dishes with Tet flavors such as jellied meat, Vietnamese hams, gac sticky rice, pickled small leeks, etc. Interestingly, lucky money is also incorporated into those special flights, making flights become more upbeat and invigorating.

At Noi Bai International Airport, travelers can delve into a realm where traditional Vietnamese culture is well-depicted by Tet decorations, writing parallel customs, and folk music performances. These activities take place from the 5th and last until the 6th of the Lunar calendar.

In 2023, Vietnam Airlines was honored to secure its place among the top 10 most punctual airlines in the Asia-Pacific region, with a remarkable on-time performance percentage of 77.46%.
